David D. Finley

David D. Finley, 50, of Sutherland and formerly of Ogallala, died November 9, 2015, in Great Plains Health of North Platte.

David was born May 3, 1965, in Ogallala, the son of Delbert and Sandra (Wilcox) Finley. He attended Ogallala schools.

In 1982 David enlisted in the Army and attended culinary school. In 1990 he returned to Ogallala where he was employed as a cook at Indian Hills Manor.

In 1994 David moved to Julesburg, Colo. and worked at Firestone as a tire technician. After being injured on the job, he moved to Sterling, Colo. in 2002. In 2014 David relocated to Sutherland.

Preceding him in death was his father, son Antonio Lascano, brother Randy Tryon, and step-father Doug Tryon.

Survivors include his wife Eloise Finley of Sutherland, and his children: Jason Ortiz and Victor Finley, both of Sutherland; David Lee Johnston of Nebraska, Leondro Lascano of Barre, Vermont.; and Candy Tryon of Hastings.  His mother Sandy (Bob) Eichner of Commerce City, Colorado.   Brothers: Richard Tryon of Ogallala, Paul Tryon of Commerce City, Colorado, Donald Tryon of Denver, Colorado, and Delbert Finley of Montana.  Sisters: Vicki (Matt) Dancer of Sutherland, Crystal (Victor) Ray of Aloha, Oregon and Mona (Mark) Haggard of Vancouver, Washington and three grandchildren.

The family chose cremation. A memorial service will be on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 2 p.m. CST in the Hope Baptist Church of Sutherland (NE) with Pastor Dale Fisher officiating.

Draucker Funeral Home of Ogallala is in charge of arrangements.
