Hank Schep

Hank Schep, 79, of Brule, died May 15, 2016, in his home at Lakeview, Lake McConaughy.

Hank was born June 21, 1936 in Zeist, Holland. He immigrated to the United States in 1956, settling in California.

He worked in the UCLA printshop until he entered the US Army in 1958. Upon his military retirement in 1978, he began working at Stapleton International Airport, in food management. After Stapleton closed, he transitioned to the new DIA from which he retired in 2000.

Being a weekend visitor to Nebraska since 1981, he made Nebraska his full time home, living at Lakeview on the south side of Lake McConaughy.

Preceding him in death were his parents Hendrik and Maasje (VanRumpt) Schep, two brothers Gerrit and Joop; and two sisters Cocky and Rien.

Survivors include three daughters Marianne (Eric) Magnusen, Arlene (Rick) Greenwood, and Stephanie (Olaf) Moonen; a sister Ria Schep; and two grandsons Andrew and Dean Magnusen.

The memorial service for Hank Schep will be held Wednesday, June 22, at 11 a.m. at the Colorado Community Church, East Building, 15445 E. Iliff Ave., Ste. B, Aurora, Colo.  80014.  Reception to follow.  Inurnment at 2 p.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Shelter A.  Flowers can be sent to Colorado Community Church at 2220 S. Chambers Rd, Aurora, Colo.  80014 (to arrive by June 21 please.)
