Jake "Papa" Razo

Jake "Papa" Razo, 89, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017, in his Lake McConaughy home in  Lemoyne, NE.

Jake was born April 13, 1928, in Bayard, Nebraska, the son of Benjamin and Genera (Aldico) Razo. 

Jake married the love of his life, Marguriete Freeman, on May 29, 1948. They spent 67 wonderful years as best friends.  Jake enjoyed spending time at their lake home at Lemoyne as well as spending time at his home in Alliance. 

Jake loved fishing, gardening, being outdoors, gambling, and especially spending time with family and friends.  He made a point of taking pictures of all the gatherings.  He was a very spiritual man and loved by so many. He leaves behind a special legacy. Jake will be dearly missed. 

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, and his sister Nina.

His children:  Linda Coupens and Dan (Cathy) Razo, all of Alliance; 

Three brothers:  Cirilo Razo of Boone, CO; Sam Razo and John (Paula) Razo, all of CA

His grandchildren:  Justin (Shauna) Coupens of Chadron NE; Kendra (Grant) Nekoranec of Fort Collins, CO; Ashley Coupens of Alliance, NE; Stacey (Dennis) Hegemann of Prescott, WI; Amy (Kenny) Pohlman of Ogallala, NE; Tyson (Megan) Razo of Cheyenne, WY; and Tiffany (Ethan) Mehne of Cheyenne, WY; 

Great-grandchildren: Jacie and Keegan Coupens of Chadron; Camden Jeffries of Fort Collins, CO; Dalton and Jakob Hegemann of Prescott, WI; Savannah Pohlman of Ogallala,NE; Sebastian and Olivia Razo and Mya Mehne, all of Cheyenne, WY.

The family chose cremation. There will be a celebration of his life at a later date. Memorials may be sent in care of the family at 503 Missouri Street, Alliance, NE 69301.
