Lissa F. Macarow

Lissa F. Macarow, 90, of Ogallala, died Saturday, January 16, 2016.

Lissa was born June 19, 1925, in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of Walter and Mary (Watroba) Tallman. In 1933 the family moved to southern California where Lissa attended school.

After graduating from high school in South Gate, Cal. Lissa worked various jobs in that area.

Lissa was employed in the medical records department of Hefner Medical Clinic in Anaheim, Cal. for twenty years.

After her husband Ed Macarow passed away in 1982 Lissa moved to Sidney, Nebr. to be close to family. In 1984 she relocated to Ogallala to be closer to her daughter Jan. Lissa was employed part time for Green Thumb and later as a caregiver in Imperial, Nebr., retiring in 1990.

Her hobbies included gardening, bird watching, reading, and knitting.

Preceding her in death was her son Dan Honeycutt in August 2015 and her husband Ed.

Survivors include a daughter Susan (Tom) Robbins of Cerritos, Cal.; granddaughter Meredith (Doug) Thomas; great-granddaughters Madeleine Thomas, Elisabeth Thomas, Victoria Thomas, and great-grandson Jack Thomas, all of Sammamish, Wash.; and a grandson Kyle (Christine) Robbins of Cypress, Cal.,  a son Steven (Kim) Conlon of Santa Rosa, Cal.; a daughter Jan (Dennis) Ackerman of Ogallala, grandson Joshua Ackerman of Cheyenne, Wyo., great-granddaughter Veronica Lew Ackerman, a grandson Christopher (Sarah) Kurz, a great-granddaughter Isabel Kurz, a great-grandson Teague Kurz, all of Kearney; a granddaughter Amy Ackerman, great-grandson Jack Edwards, and great-granddaughter Gabriella Ackerman, all of Bennington, and a daughter Wendy Emerson and granddaughter Jillian Emerson (fiance Tony Alvarado) all of Anaheim Hills, Cal.
