Mary Eileen Lovenburg

Mary Eileen Lovenburg, 87, formerly of Ogallala, died Saturday, November 14, 2015, in Park Ridge Assisted Living in Grant.

Eileen was born May 12, 1928, in Brule, the daughter of Robert A. and Francis (Hunter) Strong. Eileen graduated from Brule High School in 1945. In July she was united in marriage to George F. Richter. The couple was married in Lincoln County and made their home on the family farm west of Roscoe.

After selling the farm they moved to Ogallala in 1965. Eileen was employed at several places, including the Lee Store, Variety Center, TRW and Goodall Electric until retiring in 1985.

George passed away in 1973. In 1974 Eileen married Lawrence Lovenburg and they continued to reside in Ogallala. Lawrence preceded her in death in 1991.

Her hobbies included crocheting and sewing. Eileen moved to Park Ridge Assisted Living in Grant in June of 2015.

Survivors include her children: James Richter of Sutherland, David Richter and his wife Jayne of Ogallala, and Linda and her husband Lyle Boeckenhauer of Wakefield. Also seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family chose cremation. Friends may sign the Register Book on Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.at Draucker Funeral Home. Memorial Graveside Services will be held Friday, Nov. 20, at 1:30 p.m.in the Ogallala Cemetery. Rev. Chuck Rager of the First United Methodist Church will officiate.
