Dear Karen, I was so sorry to hear of Sam's passing. He and I ran track together at Hastings College in the 1960's. He was a great guy; so much fun to be with.

Best Wishes,
Doug McArthur

Oh, Karen...Sam was so good to Sterling and our family...between finding us the perfect house in Pine Wood Springs to very memorable hunting trips to include the loss of our golden retriever in South Dakota only to be found by a local Indian Chief guide who with Sam's help got her trucked all the way back to Colorado before Sterling got home from the trip.

You were both so kind to us.

Dear Karen,

We just happened to stumble across Sam's obituary when we heard that Bruce MacKenzie had passed away. I am so saddened because he was too young to go. Sam helped me purchase a condominium when I was divorced from my husband Dave. Then I worked with him at Van Schaack Realty. He also knew my second husband, Larry, from church.

We currently live in Asheville, NC (moved here 18 years ago). We are thinking of you at this difficult time.

I was so saddened to read of your family's loss. As you remember, Sam was a mentor of mine when I started my real estate career in Boulder and I enjoyed our long friendship. My prayers go out to you and your family. He will greatly be missed.

Dear Karen, We were so sad to hear this news. We have such fond memories of Sam especially his care and dedication as he helped our daughter Karen find her house. We always enjoyed seeing you both at church! Please accept our sympathy and know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
