Deanna "Danny" Faye Wolford

Deanna "Danny" F. Wolford, age 78, longtime resident of Ogallala, NE, joined Our Heavenly Father, Thursday, May 28, 2020 at the Ogallala Community Hospital.  
 
Danny was born July 22, 1941 in Brule, NE, the daughter of Joe P. Rios and Lena (Santero) Rusley. Her and her three siblings grew up in Brule, NE. 
 
She attended High School in Garner, IA. In November of 1983, she finished her Food Service Supervisor Course from Western, NE Technical College. 

Danny later moved to Ogallala in 1988, where she worked at the Ogallala Community Hospital as the supervisor of the kitchen. She retired on October 31, 2014.
 
She was an independent, hard working lady that enjoyed planting flowers, gardening, and keeping things tidy. She enjoyed the company of Runt and Spook, her cats, throughout the years. Danny enjoyed keeping in touch with family and friends.

Danny battled bone cancer in 2019, but her strength overcame the difficulties. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 daughter; and her late husband, Jerry Wolford. 
 
Danny is survived and lovingly remembered by her children; Jody (Steve) Patch, of Wyoming; Lennie (Michelle) Collins, of Ogallala; Lisa Collins, of Wisconsin; Tracy (Stacy) Collins, of Oshkosh; Michelle (Chenae Carroll) Wolford, of Colorado; fiancé, Tom Jehorek; 3 sisters; Delores Ingersoll; Rosalee Severson, all of Iowa; Mary Snater, of Arizona; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. 
 
Visitation will be held, Sunday, May 31, 2020, from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at the Draucker Funeral Home Chapel in Ogallala, Nebraska. Due to the recent health concerns we will be following the mandated 10 people maximum rule.
     
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 1, 2020 in the Brule Cemetery, in Brule, NE, with Rev. Ed Jehorek, of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Glenvil, NE officiating. Anyone wanting to watch the Graveside Service we will be live streamed at 10:00 a.m by going to www.drauckerfh.com. The service will also be posted on the web site for later viewing.
 
Memorials are suggested to the Ogallala Community Hospital.
