Frieda Elmshaeuser Obituary

Frieda "Arlene" Elmshaeuser 96 of Ogallala, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the Perkins County Hospital in Grant, NE.

Arlene was born on January 17, 1925 in Brule, Ne, to Howard and Lena (Harms) Dressler.
She received her education in Brule and lived on the family farm east of Brule..

After graduating high school, she worked for the Superintendent of Schools at the Keith County Courthouse in Ogallala for a few years.
She then worked as a secretary at Saunders Lumber Company, in Ogallala, where she met her husband.

She married Ralph Elmshaeuser on September 3, 1950 and moved to their farm southeast of Ogallala.
There they raised four children and later in life, two grandsons.  She was a devoted farm wife and skilled homemaker.

After Ralph’s passing in 2002, she lived at the farm for one more year before purchasing a home in Ogallala.

Arlene loved baking, gardening, canning, making butter and cheese, sewing, tending to flowers, bible studies, reading devotions,
and playing cards/marbles with her family and friends. She was infamous for her coconut cream pie. Her unbounded faith provided hope and comfort to many.
