Patsy Ann (Allen) Munn

Patsy Ann (Allen) Munn, age 80 of Ogallala, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.

Patsy was born in Ogallala to Opal and Cecil Allen on September 29, 1941.  Being one of seven siblings, shenanigans were definitely a daily occurrence.  Like riding downhill with 5 siblings on one bike … kitchen/ ketchup catastrophe to cover for one sibling resulting in their mother deducing that “something” happened because the kitchen was so very clean.

Patsy spent 30 years in the field of cosmetology, she did everything from manager to business owner to educator.  Her proudest moments were training students going into the field of cosmetology.

Her favorite pastimes included crocheting blankets for family and friends, cross-stitch, tatting and reading several books each month.  She also enjoyed spending time at the Ogallala Senior Center volunteering in the kitchen to playing several hands of pinochle and canasta, or a match of cribbage.

 She is survived by her siblings, Bob Allen of Council Bluffs IA, Cecil Allen (Margaret) of Mohave Valley AZ, Hannah Mabry of Spring TX and Larry Allen (Darla) of Council Bluffs, IA.

She was married to Gary Bahnsen in 1959. From this union were four children, Sherry (Bill Vallario) Bahnsen of Broomfield CO; Alan (Brenda) Bahnsen of Brule NE;Barbara Bahnsen (Charles) Hoag of Atlanta GA and Thomas Bahnsen of Denver CO; 3 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by siblings William Allen and Kenneth Allen, sister-in-laws, Vera Allen and Audrey Allen.

Memorials can be given to the Ogallala Senior Center in her memory.

Her family has chosen cremation.
