Pauline Marie Hart, age 76, of Ogallala, passed away, Saturday, January 23, 2021.
Pauline was born May 22, 1944 to Verne and Lorna (Cushing ) Conger in Melbeta, NE and attended school in Chadron, NE.
In 1960 she married Carl Serres in Chadron, NE. Four children were born to this union. In the Spring of 1973 she married Ronald D. Barnhill in Julesburg, CO. The couple had one son.
Pauline made her home in Ogallala since 1972. She worked for TRW as well as many local restaurants as “the salad lady” including the old Holiday Inn, Stage Coach Inn, and North Shore.
In the fall of 1998 she was wed to James E. Hart, Sr. in Alliance, NE. They owned and operated the Lazy K Motel and Hart Mowing Service until their retirement.
Pauline is survived by her children: Carol Serres, of Henderson, NV; Charlotte Johnson, of Ogallala; Ronald Serres, of Chadron; Connie (Henry) McLeod, of Ogallala; Brian Barnhill, of Grand Island, NE; step children: Eddie Hart Jr., of Big Lake, MN; and Jesse Noteboom of Ogallala ;5 brothers and one sister ; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, parents, and the love of her life, her husband, “Jimmy”.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 26, 2021 at the New Life Church with Wes Harmon officiating.
Interment will be held at the Ogallala Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in her memory.
