Scott Leon Kramer

Scott (Potsy) L.  Kramer age 74 of Arthur, Nebraska died Thursday, August 10, 2023, at his home in Arthur, Nebraska.

Scott was born November 23, 1948, to Jack Eldon Kramer and Twila Mae (Hiner) Kramer in Lewellen, Ne. He attended District 33 school in Arthur County and went on to attend Arthur High School where he graduated in 1967.

After Graduation, he returned to the family ranch where he ranched with his father, brother, and family. In 1977 Scott’s father passed away, then in 1979 he and his mother moved into Arthur. Scott continued to help his family on the ranch until his retirement in 1994.

Scott was very well known for his devotion to home games at Arthur High School and never missed a sports game, he became known and loved by the Highschoolers who referred to him as “Potsy”.

Scott was an avid member and co-founder of Arthur’s Lion Club; he was also a Volunteer Firefighter for the Arthur fire department where he dedicated much of his time while serving the community.

Scott was a member of the Arthur Baptist church where he volunteered to help with all the activities including lending a hand in services and funerals, wherever Scott felt there was a need for service he was always dedicated and ready with a full heart.

He is preceded in death by both his parents and two Brothers, Norman Kramer and Terry Kramer.

He is survived by his brother, Chet (special friend Danelle Drews) of Lemoyne, Ne; Sister, Joy (Allen) Swanson of Arthur, Ne and Sister-in-law, Lexie (Bob) Cone of Ogallala, Ne; Aunt, Maxine Kramer of Arthur, Ne. He will also be missed by his many loved Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews.

A memorial Service will be held at Arthur Baptist Church in Arthur, Ne, on Wednesday, August 16th at 10:00 a.m. with Rev.  Blake Wilkes officiating.

 Inurnment will be in the Arthur Cemetery at a later date.  A memorial has been established for the Arthur Baptist Church.
