So sad to hear of his passing. I still recall when he came to town. He delivered my youngest sister Theresa and was our family doctor for years. Please except my condolences for your loss

He was only Doctor We all had growing up, delivered, my sister Connie Saunders, Our Children Michelle Angiline Johnson and Stephen Mcbroom, Dec 1996 came by my folks place to make sure Dad could make it to hospital, Our mother Evelyn Leeper worked with him for years, , Thank you Doc

Dear Barbara and family---We are so sorry for your loss. It is always so hard. Our memories of Dr. go back to when you first came to Ogallala. Don was hit by a train in April of 1962 and had serious internal injuries and Dr. was on call so Don was one of his first patients. We were so grateful he was here to give his excellent care to Don. I remember you and Doc. when he first started practicing in Ogallala I was an usher at the Theater and you would come to a movie. Most every time I had to go tell him he was wanted on the phone and you would have to leave! I felt sorry for you. I was honored to have him deliver my two children.He came to Paxton the night my late husband and two friends died in a boating accident and gave all three of us women a shot to help us sleep that first night. That was so special to us. He was the most" Elegant" gentle man I have known. He loved his family very much. You could tell by the way he talked about you. I am so sad to not be able to attend his service because my Granddaughter is graduating from High School in Crete Ne. My prayers to you all and "Thank you " for sharing this wonderful man with us. Barb. Was sorry to read of the passing of Berl. As you know, I was one of those who attended all 13 years of school with Berl and with you. I always thought of him as a kind, thoughtful person. I never had him as a doctor but I can imagine he was the same there. My condolences to you and your family at this time. I will be praying for you as you face these next weeks and months without him.

Dr. Spencer was my doctor for most of my childhood. As well as being a friend of our family's, he was a good, caring, compassionate man and Dr. He literally saved my life one time as I developed severe pneumonia--a condition he treated on my many times. I was so thankful for him, and will always remember him. The world is a lesser place without him.
